Today, I cried. I was so blessed by my Ky. She has worked really hard in 1st grade this year and today was a huge moment. Some background: Kylie is a smart girl and last year a I began to relize that she was memorizing her reading books rather than actually reading them. I told her teacher but she wasn't worried. She was able to read the words one at a time while sounding them out but couldn't read a sentence smoothly. By the end of the year it was pretty much the same thing. This year she is back at home with me and we've been reading together a lot, she's been showing much improvement. Then today it happened. While working on her Math, she completely read and solved the word problems, all on her own! ALL ON HER OWN! So, I cried. (Teared up.) This was a happy mommy moment.*Thank you Lord for small victories.
